The 5-Minute Daily Habit That Drives Inbound Leads

Step 1: Identify 5-10 Key People to Follow

These should be industry influencers, potential clients, or partners.

Step 2: Be One of the First to Comment

  • The first 5-10 comments on a post get WAY more visibility.

  • Set up notifications for the people you follow so you can jump in early.

Step 3: Add Insight (Not Just “Great Post”)

A bad comment: “Nice post.” (Adds zero value.)

A great comment: Adds an insight, an example, or a quick story.

✅ Example of an effective comment:

“This is spot on. I recently tested this strategy with a client, and we saw a 3x increase in engagement. One tweak I’d add: [your insight].”

This positions you as an expert while keeping it simple.

Step 4: Engage with Replies

If people reply to your comment, keep the conversation going. This helps your comment get pushed higher in the feed.

Bonus: Send a Connection Request

If an ideal client likes or replies to your comment, send them a personalized connection request. It’s a natural way to start a conversation.

How to Position Yourself as an Industry Authority—Without Posting

If you comment daily for 30 days, here’s what happens:
